Recommended Dosage

Recommended dosage: 0.6 to 1.5 kg per cubic metre depending on application and mix design.

For thin screeds and repair mortars, dosages at the higher end of this range are common. Confirm with project specifications.

Mixing & Compatibility

  • Add fiber mesh to the mixer with aggregates and allow normal mixing time of 3 to 5 minutes.
  • The mesh opens fully during mixing. Visible clumps on addition will disperse uniformly in the matrix.
  • Compatible with all standard admixtures including retarders, accelerators, and water reducers.

FAQ

Fiber mesh is used to control plastic shrinkage cracking in fresh concrete and to improve early-age toughness. It is added to the concrete mix before pouring and distributes through the matrix during mixing.
Fiber mesh at standard dosages is not a structural replacement for steel mesh. It controls early cracking. In some floor slab applications, higher dosages of macro fibers can replace welded wire mesh; this requires a specific structural design.
